Bird and Breeding Data
All bird records, breeding pair data, clutch information, pedigree details, photos, notes, and other content you enter into BirdTracks is stored on our servers to provide the service to you.

We automatically collect certain information when you use BirdTracks, including your IP address, browser type and version, operating system, pages visited, time spent on pages, and other usage statistics. This data helps us understand how the service is used and allows us to improve it.
Payment Information
Payment processing is handled by Stripe. We do not store your credit card numbers or full payment details on our servers. Stripe may collect and process your payment information in accordance with their own privacy policy.
2. How We Use Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve the BirdTracks service
- Send transactional communications, such as hatch reminders, trial expiration notices, and account-related notifications
- Prevent fraud, abuse, and unauthorized access to the service

3. Data Retention
All data entered into BirdTracks is retained indefinitely. When you delete a record from your view within the application, the underlying data may be soft-deleted or archived rather than permanently erased from our systems. This practice supports data integrity, audit trails, and compliance purposes.
If you close your account, your account data and associated records may continue to be retained in our systems. We do not sell your personal data or bird breeding data to third parties.
4. Data Security
We take the security of your data seriously. Data is encrypted in transit using TLS. Our database uses row-level security policies to ensure users can only access their own data. While we implement reasonable security measures, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

BirdTracks uses session cookies that are essential for the service to function, including authentication and session management. 6. Session Recording and Analytics
